Let's see how to make a referral campaign on HiveOtter
Click New campaign
Give the campaign a name
Click Proceed
Give the campaign a short description. This will be shown on the referral page and other appropriate places.
Go to Milestone to configure coupon code percent
Activate the milestone option
Configure the discount coupon percent and the number of referrals needed to be invited to get the coupon code
Describe the instructions to redeem the coupon code. This will be sent on email to the referrals along with the coupon code.
Go to Integrations to configure payment gateway integrations
Activate the integrations
Pick the payment gateway and enter the API keys. More about this step in a different guide
Go to Embed to embed the referral program to your website or product
Activate the embed option
Enter the URL of your landing page
Fist step, you need to copy the <script/> to your landing page so that it attributes the visitor with the referrer.
Copy it to your clipboard and paste it on your page
Second, you need to inform the system when a user logs in so that it attributes to the referrer and it check the milestones correctly.
It is a good practice to show the referral code to your customers so that they can share it in their network and the chain propagates! Paste this where you want to embed, example a modal
Go to Analytics
You can view number of referrals, fulfilled referrals. You can as well export it to a CSV!
Go to General
Copy the link and start sharing in your network!
Go to Campaigns
You can quickly check analytics across the campaigns!
